About Festify

Festify lets you visualize festive decor or professional styling on any photo and build shopping lists using Amazon affiliate links. The app is created by Kamilah and her family as a fun, creative project—no personal account or data collection is required.

What We Collect

• Photos you upload: Used temporarily in your session to generate AI-enhanced designs. Images are processed via Google Gemini, and we do not store them on our servers after the result is delivered to you.
• AI outputs: Generated decorations and shopping lists are presented to you and not stored once you close the app.
• Analytics (optional): If you accept our cookie banner, Google Analytics (GA4) collects anonymous usage metrics (page views, device type, general location strictly as provided by GA). We do not send or store PII.

We do not collect names, addresses, biometric identifiers, or any other personal data. No account registration is needed to use Festify.

How We Use Data

• AI processing: Images are securely sent to Google Gemini APIs solely to generate the requested decorations. Guardrails instruct the model to avoid sidewalks, streets, or personal information.
• Amazon affiliate links: We earn commissions on qualifying purchases using the tag festify-20.
• Analytics: When consent is granted, GA4 helps us understand app usage and improve the experience. You can withdraw consent at any time by declining the cookie banner (clear your browser storage).

Data Retention

Uploaded photos and generated images are retained in-memory only for your active session. Once you leave the page or refresh, they are no longer accessible to us. We do not maintain backups or copies of your photos or AI outputs.

Your Choices

• Cookies & Analytics: Accept or decline via the in-app consent banner. Declining disables GA entirely.
• Device permissions: Camera and storage permissions are used only to capture or save images; you can revoke them in your device settings.

Third-Party Services

• Google Gemini: Processes images for AI decoration generation.
• Google Analytics: Optional analytics if consent is provided.
• Amazon: External shopping links; Amazon’s privacy policy applies when you leave Festify.

Children’s Privacy

Festify is a family project built by and for families. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are under 13, please use the app with parental guidance.
